While examining chemical behaviour of copper in a colour synthesis, an observation was made about its capability to bind chlorides penetrating into concrete and the capability of copper to modify chlorides into water insoluble compounds. In further studies was found the fact that by the method you can also regenerate already chloride-contaminated structures. The patent application was filed and the EU patent was granted to the innovation in spring 2012. This kind of method has not been in use previously but methods aiming to the same final result are based on different functions. The method is unique for the utilizing ot the simple chemical reaction in the context of concrete construction.
